Sorry - stopped in mid sentence and forgot to finish - most roads are decent - no big pot holes just a few small ones. One did catch me off guard (at night) when I looked to pass and hit a small pot hole as I was moving my mirror (wasn't tight enough and had vibrated to a lower line of sight then I wanted). I had only one hand on the bars at the time and although I handled it, it surprised me but I would have gotten that with the stock set up too. The way it takes a bump or pot hole is different - the only time you can tell the wheel is out further. It feels like it handles it better in a way. More natural feel to it.

The turning radius of course is more. My wife had not taken her bike out for two years and we went out to get her going again. She could do figure eights tighter than I could but I can still make a U-turn on a two lane road just as I could on her Savage.

I did try to get a product called SuperBrace for the chopper but they say they don't make one that would fit (they do make one that would fit the Savage stock set up) but they said they would contact SeegerCycle to see if they could get the specs (and probably find out if it's worth it to them to do). I didn't think the stock Savage needed a SuperBrace but I figured on the chopper it couldn't hurt (This was before I actually rode the chopper - it's so solid, I don't think it requires any additional support either).

FYI - the kit also comes with a new brake line (because of the increase in length). I recommend if you don't go with the kit, find a place to pick up a steel brake line instead of the stock - it's SO much better at applying the brakes.
